Job Description
Target Enterprise, Inc. is seeking a full-time Senior Data Analyst at our offices in Brooklyn Park, MN. The Senior Data Analyst is responsible for researching data assets, applying various technologies to these data assets and developing metrics, reports, and statistics. This position requires a Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field and 3 years of related experience. In the alternative, will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and 5 years related (progressive, post-baccalaureate) experience. Must also have 12 months of experience (which may have been gained concurrently) with each of the following:
(1) mathematical modeling and programming, statistical analysis, forecasting/predictive modeling, simulations, optimization, and visualizations;
(2) utilizing Math, Statistics, Mathematical logic, and Descriptive and Inferential Statistics developing metrics, reports, and statistics;
(3) applying best practices for data wrangling, analysis and compelling visualization, and performing descriptive statistics including mean, variance, median, and correlation;
(4) utilizing knowledge of retail business, working with business partners, managing reporting analysis requests end-to-end and working in an Agile environment; and
(5) utilizing the following tools and technologies: Hadoop HDFS, Hive 2, Hue, Hive 3, HoneyComb, SQL, Apache Oozie, Git, Domo, Python, and MapReduce. Will accept experience gained before, during or after Master’s program. Position includes a telecommute benefit within commuting distance to a Minneapolis-area Target office.
