JOB POSITION: Senior Data Analyst

LOCATION: 100 Mathilda Place, Suite 300, Sunnyvale, CA 94086

DUTIES: Discover, analyze and deliver data that applies to various business scenarios and opportunities; develop metrics and present them through quality visualizations that are intuitive to business partners; use independent judgement and decision making to deliver results per product scope; play an active role with product owners and data engineers to ensure reliability in data solutions meeting business need consistently; define and measure the success rate of developed dashboards and analysis by adoption into decision making and creating feedback loops for future enhancements; work independently with business and product partners to define a problem, find the requisite data, complete a thorough analysis and propose solutions using advanced statistics, testing methods, data analysis, data mining, predictive modeling, optimization, and machine learning; create custom data sets, stand up reporting, and automate the frequency of delivery of statistical insights; and explore and research data based on data platforms, tools, and algorithm models and extract findings and insights. Technologies and skills used: database design, ETL, Tableau, analytical methods (ANOVA, distribution theory, regression, forecasting, machine learning techniques), R, Python, Hive, Oozie, Domo, AB testing, and data tagging.

REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a closely related field and at least three (3) years of experience in data management/ business analytics (any title), including at least one (1) year of experience with large-scale, complex databases, designing and developing highly actionable dashboards, and using ETL, Tableau, R, Python, and analytical methods (ANOVA, distribution theory, regression, forecasting, and machine learning techniques). In the alternative, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a closely related field and at least five (5) years of post-baccalaureate, progressive experience in data management/ business analytics (any title), including at least one (1) year of experience with large-scale, complex databases, designing and developing highly actionable dashboards, and using ETL, Tableau, R, Python, and analytical methods (ANOVA, distribution theory, regression, forecasting, and machine learning techniques).
