EMEA Analytics Specialists team is tasked with supporting the EMEA account teams in a diverse number of ways, ranging from answering tenders, running approach workshops, customizing demos and building prototypes to directly supporting customers with specific requests. At this center we are looking for individuals who are willing to take on the challenge of building excellent product knowledge, collaborating with product management group, conceptualizing it into a solution in the area of Analytics (BI, DWH, AI, ML) and combining this with a good commercial sense while working in an international environment.

As an analytics specialist you get to work on the latest product offerings be it in the cloud or on premise in the field of Oracle Analytics. It provides the chance to develop on a very broad spectrum, ranging from product/ solution expertise, customer interaction, communication and general IT market knowledge. Successful analytics specialists are in high demand and have the opportunity to pursue a career path both in presales and in many different IT and non-IT functions.

What you’ll do

  • Accelerate customer opportunities with new and existing customers through technical presentations, workshops, solution assistance, or hands-on assistance and demonstrations
  • Answer Requests for Information and Requests for Proposal as part of our Solution Assistance offering (Product Questions, Architecture and Infrastructure Questions)
  • Assist in the creation of customized analytics demos
  • Proactively support account teams in positioning Analytics as a key differentiator for either cloud or on-premise solutions.
  • Maintain in depth and up to date knowledge of relevant business drivers & typical customer needs as well as market and industry trends
  • Ensure collaboration with product management group as well as fellow colleagues on account engineering teams, cloud adoption managers, ISV presales teams.
  • Actively develop product expertise
  • Attend adequate product trainings; read relevant collateral, analyst reports, white papers, competitive documents etc.

What you’ll bring

Technical:

  • Relevant experience of Solution Engineering or similar experience with a Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience on BI tools – OBIEE, BI Publisher, PowerBI, Tableau, Qlikview, Cognos, Business Objects, Microstrategy etc., preferably certified in analytics solution
  • Experience in working with a relational database system -preferably Oracle but others are acceptable as well
  • Experience with multi-dimensional sources in an analytics context is desired (Essbase, EPM)
  • Good understanding of the IT market/trends especially on the realm of Analytics & DWH; good understanding of the various concepts of cloud technology, preferably certified in at least a cloud technology
  • Good knowledge of SQL, Machine Learning and AI, IT architectures and networking
  • Experience in Machine Learning & Data Science preferred
  • Any certification on Cloud, Analytics or DHW, Lakehouse, AI&ML technology is a plus.

Non Technical:

  • Excellent written, oral and visual communication skills, both with technical stakeholders and with C-Levels
  • Openness to work with different languages & cultures
  • Ability to work in (virtual) teams. To get a specific job done often requires working together with many colleagues spread out in different countries
  • Self motivated, you have the natural drive to learn and pick up new challenges
  • Eagerness to learn – you enjoy the challenge of getting to master new products in a very short timeframe
  • An innovative mindset
  • Industry understanding coming from real life working experience with customers is preferred.
