The Role: Automation Lead AWS and UIs, Cognitive Automation, Data Automation

Grade (relevant for internal applicants only): 9A

The Location: Gurgaon /Hyderabad/ Ahmedabad /Buenos Aires

The Team : The Data Transformation team is responsible for driving key automation projects, machine learning based solutions and lean initiatives across S&P Global Market Intelligence.

We are responsible for creating, planning and delivering transformational projects for the company using state of the art technologies and data science methods, developed either in house or in partnership with vendors.

We are transforming the way we are collecting the essential intelligence our clients need to do decision with conviction, delivering it faster and at scale while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Data Transformation has three major functions – Cognitive Automation, RPA and Data Management.

The Impact : This role will be part of Cognitive Automation and will be leading two books of work:

• Ownership of the Cloud (AWS) infra of deployment of cognitive and rule base models in it.
• Creation of user interface for existing and new models to come (in Java Vaadin mostly).

This team has already delivered new breakthrough products and phenomenal efficiencies to the business.

In this role you will be working on the next generation of new products while enhancing existing ones and help to continue drive efficiency and reduce repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Release the Team projects into AWS cloud, setting up full infrastructures from scratch when needed (some are external facing application).
• Actively contributing to the development of our framework and projects.
• Leading the development of all our UIs.
• Builds strong internal and external relationships and ensures service quality and customer satisfaction
• Staying up to date on the latest technology and machine learning trend that can be applied to our projects.

What are we looking for

• Deep interest in both AWS Cloud and Data Science.
• Applied knowledge of serverless deployments.
• Applied Data science and machine learning experience.
• Knowledge of Deep learning frameworks.
• Understanding that real life project are 90% working on the data, 9 % working on the code and 1% applying Machine Learning models.
• Passion for understanding, learning and identifying the latest technology trends and machine learning based solutions.
• Strong focus on the value delivered to the end customer.
• Ability to independently yet transparently drive initiatives and function with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Advanced Certifications and 3+ years working on setting cloud infrastructures.
• 3+ years of experience working with Vaadin and Java.
• Other certificates and demonstrable track of continuous self-learning is valued.
• Excellent communication in English.
• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering or Actuary or similar experience.
• Advanced knowledge of programming in python and data manipulation in pandas is a nice to have.
• Knowledge of Databricks, Julia or Snowflake are nice to have.
