About the Role

As Technical Advisor to the CISO, you will be instrumental in driving our security programs forward. This role demands a blend of executive management skills, technical knowledge, and operational expertise. You will be responsible for working on strategic initiatives with the CISO and supporting OpenAI executive leadership as we pursue OpenAI's mission to benefit all of humanity. Your role will be pivotal in advancing the forefront of AI security.

You’ll make an impact on OpenAI by:

• Partnering closely with the CISO to develop, refine, and implement key security strategies. You'll ensure alignment with OpenAI's overall mission and executive priorities, helping to steer the organization through complex security challenges.

• Acting as a trusted advisor to the CISO, providing insights, recommendations, and feedback on a range of issues. You'll represent the CISO in meetings, manage special projects, and ensure that the security team’s initiatives are progressing according to plan.

• Overseeing the execution of critical security initiatives, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational goals.

• Serving as a key communication conduit between the CISO, executive leadership, and other stakeholders. You'll prepare briefings, reports, and presentations that distill complex security issues into actionable insights for decision-makers.

• Facilitating collaboration across various departments, ensuring that security considerations are embedded into all aspects of OpenAI's operations. You'll work with leaders across the organization to prioritize security in product development, research, and business operations.

You may be a fit for this role if you have:

• Strong understanding of security principles, best practices, and emerging trends in AI and security.

• Prior experience in security leadership.

• Proven experience in program management within a security program.

• Experience working with executive leadership and across departments and functions, building strong relationships and facilitating cross-functional initiatives.

• Excellent organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Ability to contribute to a security culture and engagement across the organization.

• Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive security initiatives.

Compensation

$225K – $385K + Offers Equity
