Job Description

In this co-op opportunity at Skyworks, you will learn and participate in developing software for the automation of design of advanced, state-of-the-art RF front-end modules. In this role, you will be working with seasoned engineering professionals and collaborating with subject matter experts within Skyworks. Not only will you get to know how things work in the industry, but you will also accumulate advanced technical knowledge and skills, valuable experience as well as explore full-time job opportunities at Skyworks. In this role, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

• Develop Python scripts to automate aspects of electronic circuit design flows.
• Implementation of Python-based optimization algorithms to solve complex design challenges.
• Machine Learning Model development to aid circuit design.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of Python and successful completion of modules with projects related to Python programming.
• Presently enrolled in a Bachelors or Masters program in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
• Data Processing and familiarity with Pandas, Numpy and Matplotlib.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

The following qualifications are desirable but not required:

• Python GUI development
• Knowledge about Machine Learning (Sklearn, Tensorflow), SQL Databases, Shell scripting
• Python Object-Orientated Programming
• Familiarity with electronic circuits would be a benefit

Term:

January-June Winter/Spring Co-Op

The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
