Job Description

We are seeking a talented and motivated Data Science Intern. As a Data Science Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on real-world data projects and gain hands-on experience in leveraging data to drive business insights.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Python coding, experience in data science (DS), ML, and AI, and the ability to solve complex problems under guidance.

Responsibilities:

• Perform data cleaning, transformation, and analysis using Python and Pandas
• Develop and implement machine learning models to solve business problems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements and deliver actionable insights
• Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
• Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in the field of data science

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Python programming and experience working with Pandas for data manipulation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment
• Excellent communication and presentation skills

Preferred Experience:

We are looking for a motivated intern who is either experienced in C#, SQL, Visual Basic, Excel-based data sets, and GIT orhas a strong desire and ability to learn these technologies quickly. Prior experience with these programming languages will make you a top candidate for this position, as you will be expected to contribute to active projects that rely heavily on them.

However, if you lack direct experience, your eagerness to learn and adapt will be equally important. We value enthusiasm, a strong work ethic, and the ability to pick up new skills swiftly.

Eligibility:

• This is open to San Diego students interested in Curricular Practical Training (CPT) or Optional Practical Training (OPT).
• Prior experience in data analysis or machine learning projects is a plus.
• Aicadium is legally authorized to sponsor employment for qualified candidates within the states of California, New York, Washington, and Michigan.
