Job Description

This is a role for CVML software engineer responsible for developing and maintaining relocalization frameworks that leverages of different technologies and sensor modalities. In this role you will support development of core algorithms within our relocalization framework. You will collaborate closely with other Computer Vision R&D engineers cross functionally on research and product development to extend the capability of the existing solution to challenging scenarios. You will supervise and support engineers in adoption of internal tools for testability, visualization and debugging.

Minimum Qualifications

  • MS degree in Computer Vision and/or Robotics or comparable industry career, with at least 3 years of experience delivering products using powerful computer vision & machine learning technologies.
  • C/C++ and Python development skills
  • Software design, problems solving, and debugging skills
  • Experience with CV libraries / frameworks
  • Solid fundamentals on computer vision, 2D/3D geometry
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills (great teammate, self-motivated, and fast learner)

Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD degree in Computer Vision and/or Robotics
  • Familiarity with macOS, iOS operating systems (preferred)
  • Familiarity with build systems Xcode / CMake (preferred)
  • Expertise with internal CV/ML frameworks for MacOS, iOS
  • Expertise on development of real time SLAM/Relocalization systems using vision, WIFI, depth, inertial sensors
  • Expertise on development realtime visual perception solutions based on ML for place recognition

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
