Job Description

You will develop, maintain and support Apple’s ML frameworks and tools. You will have the opportunity to work cross-functionally with many teams at Apple and impact a number of technologies. You will gain a deep understanding of our Core ML and Create ML frameworks in order to effectively work with both internal and external developers and advise them on best practices for deploy on-device ML solutions on Apple hardware. You will be responsible for staying up to date on the latest applications of machine learning, and for ensuring we are developing the functionality necessary for our developers to take advantage of those advancements.

Minimum Qualifications

• Strong and proven software development skills
• Passion for software architecture, API design and developer experience
• Experience with and knowledge of a variety of machine learning libraries/packages
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with Apple’s development tools, languages (e.g. Swift), SDK, and app development is a big plus

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ML platforms and framework API design and experience working with ML feature developers
• Experience with on-device ML model enablement on edge devices
• Experience optimizing ML models for inference (Generative AI, LLMs, image and computer vision)
• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 and $312,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
