Job Description

What you will do Johnson Controls invites you to apply for an internship located in Milwaukee, WI. This internship is designed to provide you with a positive work/training experience and challenging objectives. Specific identified internship responsibilities are outlined below.

• Assist with data preparation.
• Support dashboard and visualization development in Tableau CRM and Microsoft Power BI.
• Interface with diverse project teams, providing analytics support to advance key initiatives.
• Work on PowerPoint presentations to be presented showing market analysis and product roadmaps.
• Document work procedures, processes, and methodologies.

Duration: This will be a summer session internship starting on a full-time basis during the month of June. Candidates must be enrolled in school and be able to work 40-hour weeks in the summer.

How you will do it

• Have the ability to understand the complete mix of products in the portfolio based on product life cycle phase.
• Have strong qualitative research and analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs outlined in the business strategy.
• Be comfortable with not knowing and be able to identify and talk with the people that do know (for input, to answer questions, to review uncertainties, help identify relationships between products, etc.) in order to draw the best picture of the complete portfolio of products.
• Be ready to collaborate in a team environment with data science professionals, marketing, and business leaders.
• Be able to aggregate and rollup large amounts of data across multiple programs into manageable information.
• Prepare reports and presentations in proper format to educate executives on portfolio data.
• Demonstrate good attention to detail.
• Have outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Hands-on proficiency Competency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Excel and PowerPoint.
• Leverage your developing skills in data science tools and techniques including Python, R, Google Analytics and SQL.

What we look for Required Qualification:

• Currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. college or university.
• Pursuing a degree with an emphasis in Data Science, Engineering, Business or Economics.
• U.S. citizen or legal right to work in the U.S.
• Demonstrates an ability to learn quickly and independently.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written) preferred.
• Demonstrated problem solving skills required.
