
Job Description
- Collaborating closely with our engineering and technology teams, the Data Scientist will build predictive models and perform advanced statistical analyses to provide insights for optimizing our business.
- Specifically, the job duties will include the following:
- Applying fluent understanding of state-of-the-art machine learning techniques to build predictive models and recommender systems;
- Applying deep understanding of statistics and probability to devise improvements to existing algorithms;
- Contributing to developing and maintaining internal analysis software libraries;
- Developing new intellectual property;
- Analyzing large amounts of data to identify relationships and trends, translating them into actionable insights for our product team and clients;
- Reporting findings, both orally and in written documents containing charts, graphs and tables
Qualifications:
- Masters’ degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Data Science, etc.)
- 5+ years experience as a Data Scientist in a technology environment
- Deep knowledge of statistics, probability, and machine learning techniques
- Advanced experience in data manipulation tools (e.g., SQL, Python, pandas, pyspark)
- Strong background designing and developing software to implement advanced analytic algorithms
- A quick learner, with the ability to work independently and adaptably in a fast-paced environment
- Strong strategic thinking capabilities and project management skills
- Nice to have:
- PhD in a technical field
- Industry experience with development and deployment of predictive models or recommendation systems
