What You'll Do

BCG is looking for an Expert Consultant focused on the topic of “Risk in Insurance” to join our Insurance team and work alongside some of the world’s top minds in the industry. You will play a critical role in the growth of our Risk in Insurance topic through case execution, client development and product creation. The insurance industry is entering a new era as changing customer needs and expectations place new demands on existing players. As an Expert in the Insurance practice, you will

• Help insurers address their most difficult challenges using strategies that maximize growth, transform business models, and create sustainable competitive advantage. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the insurance industry focusing on auto/commercial insurance and in strategy consulting.
• Work with clients on a range of projects and topics across the insurance value-chain including strategy development, sales force effectiveness, compliance, benchmarking, forecasting, operational model redesign, risk management, digital transformation, customer focus, and more.
• Create value for our clients with forward-thinking solutions that help them address the operational, technical, and financial implications of changes in their business environment.

Our Expert Consulting Track

The Expert Consulting Track (ECT) is vital to BCG’s ability to successfully meet our clients’ demand for deep expertise and advanced technical capabilities. Experts deliver next-level impact for BCG's most complex and cutting-edge client challenges. Experts focus on developing BCG's thought leadership, commercial capabilities, and intellectual property assets; and their work is essential to our delivery model. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team to bring the ‘best of BCG’ to our clients, Experts come from diverse backgrounds, with expertise often gained outside of BCG in industry, academia, or specialized consulting.

What You'll Bring

• A minimum of 7+ years work experience in leading insurance companies, reinsurance companies and actuarial consulting firms with strong knowledge of Pricing & Underwriting
• Or non-life insurance companies with an expertise in auto/commercial/general insurance
• Possessing a profound understanding of analytics and artificial intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML) with expertise spanning various insurance domains will be a plus
• A solid track record of building strong client relationships with large organizations, as well as identifying opportunities to deepen those relationships and grow the business
• Solid business acumen, commercial capabilities and business judgement
• Team player, open and positive in a group dynamic
• Excellent communication and persuasion skills with strong written and spoken Korean
• Strong proficiency in English is highly valued
