As a Platform DevOps Engineer based out of our BMS Hyderabad you are parof the Data & ML Engineering umbrella of Data Platform team. The team builds and supports the data and analytics capabilities across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Cloudera Data Platform, Data engineering, DataOps, cloud native services, and will be comfortable in expanding the skillset where required.

Key Responsibilities

• The platform DevOps engineer will own the end-to-end accountability of multiple Data platform, along with serving the needs of other Data Platforms across the enterprise space.
• Contribute and expand skillset in alignment to larger EDM strategy, promoting and adopting Data Mesh ecosystem.
• Work on optimization and efficiency gain initiatives for the data platforms.
• Integrate the various technologies part of a platform to insure friction-less user experience
• Implementation automations to provision and upgrade platforms in AWS Cloud to increase efficiency and speed-to-delivery
• Understand the data/metadata management platform landscape and participate in advancing, optimizing and/or simplifying it
• Participate in proof-of-concepts to evaluate new and emerging technologies relevant to Data Solutions
• Lead Incident and problem management
• Lead the planning and deployment of platform upgrade.
• Own platform-related services and requests.
• Troubleshoot advanced deployment and cloud (Relevant to Data Platform) infrastructure issues
• Develop SOP, workbooks and knowledge articles to ensure consistent and reliable platform operations
• Ensure Data Platforms are scalable, available, reliable, secure and generally meet agreed SLAs
• Engage with technology partners to further advance the data and MLOps platforms and to maintain robust in-house knowledge required to successfully fulfill our responsibilities.
• Take part in vendor management.

Qualifications & Experience

• 7-10+ years of hands-on experience hands-on experience with configuration and maintenance of Data Management platforms on AWS platform.
• Deep knowledge and experience on AWS cloud platform, with solution architecture skillset.
• Deep knowledge and experience with Python programming knowledge.
• Ability to craft solutions using AWS native services with deep awareness of operational costs on AWS platform.
• Experience with cloud formation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & DevOps tools.
• Demonstrated ability to support enterprise scale multi-tenant Data Platforms on Cloud
• Ability to interface with and assist various teams across organization to make best use of Data/Metadata and MLOps Platforms
• Thorough understanding of and working experience in Cloud eco-system, in particular AWS
• Experience with containerization (EKS) based platform deployment with autoscaling.
• Agile software development.
• Large-scale distributed software services and solutions.
• Distributed cloud-computing platforms and technologies like Kubernetes and Spark ecosystem.
• Programming languages and framework such as SQL, Scala, Unix Shell Scripts, and PySpark, Angular, etc.
• Experience with implementing improvements in areas such as maintainability, scalability, availability, extensibility and security
• Experience implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD)
• Working knowledge of ITSM best practices and tools (e.g. ServiceNow)
• Working knowledge of information security best practices
