Job Description
We are seeking a senior individual to join the Fixed Income Reference Data team as Team Lead. This position will have a global oversight and will report to the Fixed Income, Commodities and Currency Content Manager. They will be responsible for building the strategic product roadmap and measurement of progress towards the long-term vision for Fixed Income Reference Data. They will lead a group of highly motivated product managers while also being charged with the development of a business strategy that will take the Fixed Income capabilities forward, recognizing innovations in technology, evolving industry trends as well as ensuring our tools adhere to and can flex, with ever changing client needs.
We’ll trust you to:
- Display product management skills and effectively handle data product specification, prioritization, and backlog by continually addressing business needs through an agile process
- Work closely with clients, Sales, Marketing, and Service teams to drive Fixed Income Data business growth
- Collaborate with various internal teams to execute the go-to-market strategy and increase product awareness
- Show domain expertise on key Fixed Income drivers and the types of data firms are using, and how they are linking these datasets together to create an edge in an increasingly competitive market
- Identify and implement improvements to workflow and operational efficiencies
- Build out creative business intelligence for internal operations and demonstrate data-driven decision making
- Understand data science techniques and platforms that our clients are either building or leveraging to extract value from big data
- Provide team development and coaching
- Develop a strong relationship with a core group of clients that will partner with us to expand our understanding of their key challenges and evolve our offering through ongoing dialogue and experimentation to systematically solve their challenges
You’ll need to have:
- 7+ years’ experience as a Product Manager
- Proven experience in a leadership role
- Proven understanding of Fixed Income Markets including and not limited to Bonds, Munis, Corps and Cash structured Products
- -Proven understanding of capital markets and trade lifecycle
- Understand market structure and the many factors impacting our clients and therefore driving their challenges, priorities
- Demonstrated knowledge data science and quantitative investing processes
- Demonstrate strong communication skills with an ability to distill complex topics and challenges into a succinct, easy to understand message and effectively present your business plan and updates to management or extended audience.
We’d love to see:
- Proficiency in Python, R, or other programming languages typically used in data science and analytics
- A broad range of asset class knowledge
