Job Description

DoubleVerify is seeking a Director of AI Product Operations, Brand Safety and Suitability to to champion operational excellence in our NYC site and advance our global partnerships, workforce management systems, and data labeling strategy. This role will be responsible for developing a team of managers, conducting workforce and change management initiatives, and increasing the impact of our cross-functional work with product, policy, engineering, and data science. You will promote a data-driven culture attuned to DoubleVerify’s core values and improve the quality and velocity of delivery of manual classification, AI curation and ML evaluation operations. You will also build new processes and deliver improved classification strategies in close collaboration with product management, labeling vendors and internal workforces. You will mitigate operational risks through effective change management, and establish short and long-term goals that are measured and evaluated regularly.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and grow a multi-layer organization consisting of managers, specialists, and contractors, and quantify their impact on the larger business.
  • Own operational KPIs and labeled data pipelines, and lead reporting to executive, management and individual contributor audiences. Drive accountability and results from your team to grow our impact on the business.
  • Manage vendor partnerships for contract workforces and content classification tools, and drive the strategy for enabling AI classification in new media types, languages and markets.
  • Deliver change management consistency and own access, onboarding, and operational updates in partnership with our Product Policy, IT, and HR teams.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders from product, data science, and engineering to ensure operational support requirements are defined and forecasted when bringing new products to market.

Minimum qualifications:

  • 8+ years of management experience in a technology company focused on product operations and/or trust and safety, with proven results managing a multi-site operation and leading workforces of 200+ individuals.
  • 4+ Years of experience developing management teams with successful career growth results.
  • Demonstrated success supporting product launch efforts for new AI and ML products, and forecasting workforce requirements to support them.
  • Proven ability to influence and drive improvement in communication across multiple product business functions and throughout the organization.
  • Expertise in internet and AI safety subject matter including content safety standards, user privacy regulations, and workforce exposure risks for sensitive materials.
  • Experience analyzing, forecasting, and presenting operational metrics of efficiency, cost, and accuracy to senior leadership. Track record of using these measurements to improve team and individual performance.
  • Knowledge of SQL and expertise in building data collection and visualization processes.
  • Fluency in driving automation and interest in deployment of gen AI to improve operational KPIs.
  • Experience defining and developing internal tool features for operational teams.
  • Working knowledge of the digital advertising ecosystem.

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on a number of non-discriminating factors, including qualifications for the role, level, skills, experience, location, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at DV.

The estimated salary range for this role based on the qualifications set forth in the job description is between [$160,000- $220,000]. This role will also be eligible for bonus/commission (as applicable), equity, and benefits.
