    Additional Job Description

This is a unique opportunity to be part of a growing multi-disciplined team of experienced individuals in a start-up environment. The team will drive the solution design, development, and deployment of advanced High Performance Computing (HPC) Engineering modeling and simulation solutions. This is in support of the company’s Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) Application teams that perform end-to-end simulations from vehicle design through vehicle dynamics.

You will directly contribute to the CAE/HPC modeling and simulation lifecycle through integration across the HPC environment, leveraging open source development, and delivery of project-based solutions using both waterfall and agile methodologies. Initial application development will focus on physics-based modeling, imposing computational fluid dynamics (CFD), and facilitating the utilization of cluster-based and container-based modeling and simulation packages in HPC environments.

This is a leadership role where you will help other team members in delivering open source based CFD solution for various functional areas. You will work hand in hand with your business customers to understand their requirements, provide technical support, create best practice and develop future roadmaps. You will help translate engineering requirements to IT requirements for desktop design as well as execution of physics in HPC environment. You will also work with outside organizations (vendors, research institutions) to mitigate technical issues related to meshing, physics etc.

You will also lead the initiative to streamline and speed up the end to end process from CAD download to post processing. The goal would be to stay on par with speed of design for generating CAE solutions. This will require you also to focus on other aspects of CFD simulations such as streamlined data flow, co-simulation, multi-physics simulation, design of experiments etc.
