What you’ll be able to do:

Act as a Commercial Vehicle Business Innovation Analyst to support and advance Ford’s Commercial Vehicle strategy and execution for developing new business and technology solutions in collaboration with strategic customers. Work within a new, dynamic cross-functional team to research macro and micro factors affecting commercial vehicle customers in key vocations and geographies to inform strategies that best position Ford to create new connected and electric vehicle services that enable customers to thrive and provide competitive differentiation.

• Market Research and Customer Prioritization
• Synthesize and deepen perspectives on target markets and ideal customers with a focus on connected and electric vehicle services
• Develop and manage an iterative customer prioritization framework, including researching and synthesizing competitive intelligence about individual companies.
• Translate key learnings from Ford engagements into further iterations of customer prioritization and follow-on pilots
• Advance skill team knowledge of the application of commercial vehicle and vocational subject matter expertise for more effective placement of business services
• Business Development
• Prepare Ford engagement proposals, including scopes of work, project resource requirements, and key metrics to measure success

• Client Relations
  • Participate and support creation of materials for client and public meetings
  • Create an integrated view of client touchpoints and business priorities
  • Support customer engagements and follow-on pilot opportunities

Minimum requirements we seek:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Three or more years of experience working in consulting, commercial vehicle industry, mobility industry, and/or connected vehicle software and services

Our preferred qualifications:

• Five to seven years of experience working in consulting, commercial vehicle industry, mobility industry, and/or connected vehicle software and services

• Direct experience working with innovation ecosystem, including start-ups, universities, corporate R&D teams, and investment community. 
• Strong knowledge of commercial vehicle and/or connected vehicle services industry, with direct experience either working for or with a fleet customer
• Familiarity with mixed-method research techniques, with direct experience working with design researchers, market researchers, and data scientist on business or strategy projects.
• The ability to manage complex projects on time and on budget
• Comfort with ambiguity and iterative nature of new teams
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Aptitude for and/or experience in business development; i.e. sales experience, grant writing, or successful RFP development are applicable skills
