Job Description

MORSE is seeking a System Test Engineer to work with our team enabling AI/ML capabilities for some of our highest-profile programs. This role will split time onsite with customers in the MORSE Arlington, VA office and customer location in DC/VA.

As a System Test Engineer, you will be drive and execute Systems Test & Evaluation (T&E) efforts to ensure AI/ML and SaaS systems performance. You will also be working closely with our customers to shape testing strategies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with development managers and vendors to discuss software specifications and ensure seamless integration
  • Develop and implement Test & Evaluation (T&E) best practices for large complex SaaS systems, ensuring maximum performance and reliability
  • Design, maintain, and document system Validation & Verification (V&V) procedures
  • Work closely with Agile Software Development teams to execute test cases and identify areas for improvement
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments, analyze gaps, and implement fixes to ensure maximum performance and security
  • Organize and support integration, test, and deployment of software at customer sites, ensuring smooth transitions
  • Create comprehensive test reports and present recommendations to various stakeholders and customers

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

Candidates that have the ability to interface with Department of Defense customers will excel. The ideal candidate will have a proven record of success deploying and testing large complex software systems. Technically strong individuals will thrive in this role.

  • US Citizenship required and the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance. (Active Top Secret or TS/SCI is preferred.)
  • Experience defining test plans and setting up test procedures for SaaS systems or other cloud deployment software
  • Experience working with military acquisition programs and personnel, including on-site support or direct experience
  • Proven record interfacing with customers, vendors, and cross-functional teams
  • Superb professionalism and communication
  • Travel requirements: 10-25%
  • BS degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field preferred
  • At least 5+ years of experience; aerospace and defense or related domain is a plus
  • Understanding of artificial intelligence and machine learning disciplines (statistics, data science, big data, deep learning, computer vision) is a plus
