The Data Scientist Lead is responsible for leading the regional Data Scientist team. As a key enabler of our risk-based management strategy, you will drive the team to develop and implement advanced data-driven solutions that enhance the monitoring of clinical trials. You will play a critical role in ensuring data quality, patient safety, and trial reliability through the application of cutting-edge statistical methods and machine-learning techniques for all assigned studies.

Main responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: 1)Direct a team of Data Scientists, fostering a collaborative matrix structure that enhances productivity and innovation.2)Conduct training, mentoring, engagement, development, and recruitment for the data scientist team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
- Performance and Delivery:1) Define and execute the RBM Data Scientist strategy. 2)Oversee the design and execution of data analysis and predictive modeling to maintain a high standard of quality and productivity. 3)Optimize Data Scientist resource allocation to meet project demands and organizational goals.
- Process Improvement: 1)Drive innovation by exploring and implementing new data science methodologies and technologies, and 2) Continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of data science operations within the Risk-Based Monitoring framework.
- Stakeholder: 1) Represent Data Scientists in transversal projects and programs, liaising with internal and external stakeholders to align objectives and strategies. 2)Maintain an effective relationship with Global RBM with an end objective to ensure regulatory compliance and reliability of the clinical trial results.
About you
- Experience: Experience in a Clinical Research environment (CRO or Pharma).
- Experience in clinical data programming (SAS, Python, R, …)
- Soft and technical skills:Proven leadership experience in a data programming role, with a strong track record of managing teams.
- Expertise in advanced analytical such as statistical analysis, machine learning, and data mining techniques.
- Familiar with clinical trial data and risk-based monitoring methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of data quality and integrity.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead and collaborate.
- A passion for innovation and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or above, in a life science or mathematics-related area (or equivalent)
- Languages: Strong English skills (verbal and written), ability to exchange fluently in a global environment.
