As a Manager on the implementation engineering team, you will develop cutting edge solutions that put analytics at the heart of decision-making. You will work closely with other members of the Strategic Analytics team on high-profile analytics projects that drive business strategies. As a key member of the implementation engineering team, you will extend our capacity to deliver and push the team forward.

Responsibilities

• Lead Orchestration of batch and real-time predictive analytic solutions for Claims projects leveraging Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Function Apps and other tools

• Manage the development and deployment lifecycle of batch and real time analytics services for Claims projects

• Use SQL, Python and Snowflake to understand underlying data, and suggest improvements for performance and best practices

• Lead collaboration with internal and external project stakeholders including project managers and developers

• Manage code development and deployment using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, VS Code and GitHub

• Contribute to and promote evolving best practices

• Document and manage technical workflows and implementation processes

Education and Experience

• 2+ years of leading data/implementation engineering projects

• 2+ years of Python development experience

• 2+ years of API development and/or event driven architecture experience

• 2+ years of Claims experience in an Insurance environment

• Demonstrated experience with Azure Functions, Snowflake, Databricks, and Event Hub/Kafka

• Familiarity with the MLOps framework and event driven architecture

• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and design

• Exceptional collaboration and relationship building skills

• Comfortable handling ambiguous concepts and breaking down complex problems into manageable pieces

• Strong data manipulation skills for analytics

• Resilient problem solving and critical thinking skills

• Ability to communicate effectively to different target audiences

• Flexibility – able to meet changing requirements and priorities

• College degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Data Analytics, or equivalent
