Course Hero is scaling! Are you our dynamic Marketing Data Analyst II? You will use your creativity and knack for delivering data-driven insights to help us identify the target audience for our numerous digital channels and drive growth by measuring effectiveness. You’ll leverage your broad experience exercising analytical methods: from building insightful dashboards and analyzing data patterns, to designing A/B tests that drive high impact, actionable business decisions alongside our Growth Marketers.
Here are some ways you’ll make an impact:
- Work with Growth Marketers and peers in Analytics to understand best practices and propose strategic ideas and turn them into initiatives for driving growth.
- Define and regularly monitor KPIs, success metrics, and other analytics to maximize our conversion rate across our digital channels.
- Set up and evaluate A/B tests and push forward next steps at a rigorous pace.
- Deliver reports and strategic insights through analysis and manual data extractions from various ad platforms, data tools, and internal tracking to drive OKRs
- Estimate the value of different marketing strategies, including by utilizing and updating statistical/ML models generally created by others. This is a growth opportunity for the candidate.
- Effectively communicate findings to internal and external team members.
- Develop data models to be used for strategizing, testing, and implementing marketing campaigns across lifecycle marketing, SEM, social influencer, ad display, mobile app push, and more.
Are you our next Marketing Data Analyst II?
- 3+ years of experience conducting quantitative marketing analyses for high tech companies
- Highly proficient with SQL and visualization tools (e.g. Tableau/Looker/Quicksight)
- Ability to connect the dots between Marketing and Product Analytics
- Experienced in working with ETL tools such as Airflow or Databricks
- Basic programming skills in Python for data analysis
- Understands end-to-end user journeys for web platforms and the challenges of managing user funnels that have multiple attribution touchpoints
- Understanding of attribution business methodologies and user tracking technologies
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral. Able to clearly articulate growth marketing ideas, strategies, and tactics to audiences with varying domain knowledge.
- Comfortable functioning in spaces with high ambiguity and adapt easily in changing environments.
- Bachelor or higher degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Math/Applied Math, Data Science, Computer Science, Physics, or Engineering.
- We require a minimum overlap of 3 hours/day for 4 days per week with business hours from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM pacific standard time.
Bonus Points:
- Familiar with marketing analytics tools (e.g. Amplitude, Google Analytics, AppsFlyer), and Marketing our stack including Braze, Google SEM, Facebook, etc.
- Hands-on experience with experimentation, including design, implementation, and methodologies (e.g. hypothesis testing and regression analysis) for analyzing and interpreting results to stakeholders
