You are the agent of change through collaborative leadership

• You win hearts and minds: Understand the data management mindset and lead others to understand it and adopt it as their own
• You build vision: Create a common understanding of a better world of data interaction, and identify and define the potential pathways to get there

You are the customer's advisor and mentor

• You BFF the business: Build relationships with organization leadership, data stewards, data scientists, data analysts, and data decision makers throughout the company and understand their needs, concerns, and value opportunities
• You are the go-to for knowledge: With your worn and tabbed DMBOK, your wealth of data management successes and failures, and/or your understanding of PG&E data management activities and playbook, you provide insight, education, and support to functional area personnel and groups to achieve data objectives
• You are the MacGyver of business problems rooted in data: Figure out how to use data management practices to solve the hard problems and teach the customer along the way
• You ask the right question: Gently but firmly hold technical teams accountable to delivery on business value

Every day, you are mastering data management

• You go deep: You study, learn, and gain expertise in one or more data management knowledge areas, such as governance, master data, data quality, metadata, etc.
• You contribute to the Center of Excellence: The company's enterprise data management knowledge and best practices have your finger prints on them where you not only consumed what was available, but you rolled up your sleeves and added your own special piece
• You learn: Stay abreast of new ideas, experiment and gain knowledge through trial and error, collaborate with others, and research what works and what does not
• You share: You constantly strive to not just master data management yourself, but to help those around you do so as well

Qualifications

Are you excited yet? So are we! Let's check a couple minimum qualifications:

• You wake up in the morning ready to support an individual or group to achieve outcomes they define through building awareness and empowerment to change, being a coach is a critical part of your identity
• You are downright amazing at facilitation, you can guide a group of people to an outcome based on their objectives
• You are a master teacher, engaging your students to absorb the content
• As a mentor, you know how to support an individual or group to achieve their outcomes through your own experience and guidance
• You are an owner who is trustworthy, empathetic, curious, tenacious, nimble - if you these PG&E virtues describe you, then you will fit right in our culture and mindset
• You know Lean, love Lean, and have a Lean mindset
• A. or B.S. degree or equivalent work experience in computer science, information technology, data science, engineering, or other relevant field
• 8 years of experience in data management, data governance, data quality, metadata management, data security, and/or designing and implementing functional systems and data in a structured process

• Certified Data Management Professional! We love it if you have formalized your DMBOK knowledge with certification.
• 4+ years of leadership experience
• Experience in energy, utilities, or regulated industries
• Detail-oriented with ability to focus on managing multiple groups and processes
• Level-head, manages conflict in a positive manager, and comfortable interacting with people at all levels
• Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills with proven ability to establish and cultivate relationships with vendors and business subject matter experts
• Experience as a project manager or product owner
• Experience with relevant project management tools and methodologies
• Demonstrated executive engagement and presentation skills
