Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience managing technical programs and projects from inception to completion
  • Experience working with data in an engineering environment

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience working with Machine Learning (ML), Large Language Models, or ML Operations.
  • Experience with data analytics or data science.
  • Ability to be influential on a highly integrated team of technical and non-technical members.

As a Technical Program Manager, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using engineering expertise. You will plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers. Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you will manage projects of various size and scope, identifying future opportunities, improving processes, and driving the technical directions of programs.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead and drive progress and improvements in the Data space to enable Gemini to improve model quality.
  • Manage dependencies across workstreams, functions and organizations while managing multiple, time-sensitive projects simultaneously.
  • Drive and lead engineering teams to identify, prioritize and track tasks to completion goals.
  • Identify opportunities for operational process improvements and quickly implement solutions, including risk management and mitigation planning.
  • Communicate progress, risks, and plans to leadership on a regular basis.
