Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience in Program Management on technical cross-functional projects.
  • Experience in Machine Learning or Artificial Intelligence.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or a similar technical field.
  • Knowledge of the technical and process challenges associated with the software development life-cycle.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy ambiguous operations environment, as well as deliver results in a timely manner.
  • Ability to communicate in English fluently to collaborate with a diverse range of people and job functions.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.

Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage projects of various size and scope, identifying future opportunities, improving processes and driving the technical directions of your programs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead programs across YouTube such as Main App engineering productivity, Premium and Commerce tooling, and own planning, prioritizing, communicating, and process execution.
  • Own relationships with engineering, cross-functional teams, and with other partners, customers, leads, and executives to land business level outcomes.
  • Provide input, co-own, and publish strategy with updates through forums, and published updates.
  • Drive execution through portfolio management, project schedules, OKR processes, and identify risks with communication.
