
Job Description
The Language Team Lead leads a team of Language Specialists and coordinates their work within an account or a group of accounts. The Team Lead manages and plans capacity and work allocation, ensures timely delivery of language services and tasks with the expected quality and ensures high satisfaction of internal customers.
What You Will Do
- Leads a team of Language Specialists (e.g., Language Quality Associates and/or Language Quality Leads and/or Linguists). Can lead other Language Services roles if need be.
- Monitors, motivates, and coaches the team members, manages their performance and productivity and fosters their professional growth.
- Coordinates the team to ensure all required linguistic activities are executed according to plan and Customer/Lionbridge KPIs.
- Identifies potential process inefficiencies and/or risks and makes recommendations on process improvements and contingency solutions.
- Manages the workload of the team and assigns or reassigns tasks to team members while ensuring appropriate service and quality levels.
- Ensures that contingency and backup plans are made within the team for absences and leaves.
- Acts as the primary communication link and escalation path for the team.
- Supports conflict resolution within the team.
- Identifies and supports training needs and develops, or ensures delivery of training documentation.
- Provides guidance regarding problem solving, customer communication, etc.
- Can provide support on customer proposals and participate in defining account[1]specific strategies.
- Carries out other Language Services and lead tasks broadly within the scope of the role, based on instructions of their superior and/or the employer

- Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills in English and the mother tongue.
- High customer focus with the ability to identify opportunities that benefit internal/external customers.
