WHAT YOU WOULD BE DOING

As part of the End User Computing Warehouse team you will be responsible for the high-volume, centrally managed workstation hardware and software necessary to support the warehouse environment.

In this role you are responsible for the design, implementation and support of all end-user endpoints, software and the systems used to access, deploy, and manage them. The ideal candidate will determine the best solutions for our business needs, help identify gaps and shortcomings in current setups, and determine necessary path forward to create consistent and efficient systems.

What You’ll Do:

Technical (100%)

  • Manage workstation Devices (hardware, software and connectivity) incidents through to resolution. In the Office environment, the devices are primarily desktop or laptop computers; in the Warehouse environment, the devices are primarily Winterms, scanner, radio-frequency guns, printers or other equipment to scan and record data from product lines.
  • Strong ability to centrally manage a workstation environment deploying packages using software management tools, such as VMware Workspace ONE.
  • Participate in the building and maintenance of workstation images.
  • Assist in the production and maintenance of Group Policy Objects to manage the workstation environment.
  • Support IT groups as an End User Support escalation point.
  • Understand the end user computing environment and provide guidance and recommendations based on industry best practices for Endpoint Device Management, including software deployments, patch management, and OS deployments.
  • Strong scripting ability (VBScript, batch files, Install Script, Wise Script, PowerShell, etc.)
  • Look for opportunities for automation, simplify and consolidate platforms and processes.
  • Participate in strategy/roadmap creation, identify and recommend new technology solutions to meet business needs.
  • Responsible for maintaining and enhancing accurate documentation steps for installation, maintenance and configuration activities.
  • Provide 24 by 7 on-call support on a rotating basis with other team members, usually for a one-week period at a time.
  • Participate in the successful execution of internal/team project activities, such as the implementation of a new tool

Required Qualifications:

  • BS in Computer Science, BA in a related technical field, Associates Degree, or relevant certification program and/or 5+ years of comparable experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory (AD) concepts & management practices.
  • Extensive Experience with Microsoft Windows 7/8.1/10 OS & Microsoft Office.
  • Extensive Experience with MAC OS.
  • Proficiency in workstation Image creation & deployment.
  • Proficiency in Patch and Vulnerability Management.
  • 1+ years experience of Scripting (VBScript, batch files, Install Script, Wise Script, PowerShell, etc.) 
  • Advanced knowledge of a range of diagnostic utilities (Lenovo diagnostic tools, Apple Diagnostics, HP printer diagnostic tools, etc.). Expert troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent client service skills, including both written and oral communication
  • Ability to work quickly and professionally in a fast-moving, sometimes-stressful environment
  • Proven accountability for work completion/documentation/timeliness
  • Availability to travel
