Job Description

The Product Knowledge team at eBay creates the platform that powers our buying and selling experiences by demonstrating disparate data sources and creating high quality, scalable solutions. Our solutions leverage state of art ML and AI capabilities including LLMs to power services and products across our buyer and seller interfaces.

The current opportunity is to work across various products and services to help our seller list and manage inventory by maximising best in class ML and AI solutions.

You will be part of crack team which is helping build future of selling at ebay.

What you will accomplish:

• Build and lead the measurement and insights team to help us build and optimize products and services to build the Next Generation Selling experience. You would be the voice of Data and Reason to help make the best product decision, guide trade-offs and drive growth.

• Drive core Product analytics, A/B testing as well as measurement of models

• Partner with multiple teams (Engineering, Design, Customer Research, Applied Research, Product) across multiple domains partnering to build a unified experience for our sellers.

• Strong communication skills and experience distilling and presenting complex analyses into committed recommendations.

• Mentor and Lead junior Analysts building Grade-A team.

What you will bring：

• Prefer 9+ years of experience and the minimum of a bachelor’s or higher degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Business Administration or Business Analytics.

• Intellectual curiosity, passion for problem-solving, and comfort with ambiguity. Strike a balance between critical thinking and hands-on analytics and data science (SQL, R, Python, Tableau etc.)

• Functional leadership skills as a Product Analyst while having a data science mentality to problem solving at scale.

• Enthusiastically and successfully communicate with partners across the organization and regions.

• Finally, but crucially: A passion for eBay, either existing or nascent. We are an outstanding company and are looking for people who get excited by our captivating marketplace & outstanding business opportunities.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York is expected in the range below.

$149,200 - $234,850

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
