As a Senior Software Engineer on the Data Platform team, you will join the team’s mission of empowering data workers at Coursera and maximizing their productivity, by providing robust tools, innovative platforms, and a steadfast analytics infrastructure. It is an exciting time to join the team as we are actively developing our new data lake systems, unifying our data development tool stack, and onboarding various functional teams to the new platform.
You will be responsible for designing and developing our data infrastructure as well as tools that pave the path for data development in our data systems. You will have the opportunity to work on complex technical challenges, and influence the future roadmap, growth and success of Coursera's data-driven culture. You will work closely with a cross functional team of data scientists, machine learning, and peers from product engineering, data engineering, and SRE. You must be comfortable working in a fast-moving team environment (we deploy many times a day!) Meanwhile, as Coursera is bootstrapping our new development center in India, this is a unique opportunity to be part of the founding teams, and you will play a significant role in shaping the culture for the location.
