Job Description

Our team is the first in the world to use autonomous vehicles on public roads using end-to-end deep learning. With our multi-national world-class technical team, we’re building things differently.

We don’t think it’s scalable to tell an algorithm how to drive through hand-coded rules and expensive HD maps. Instead, we believe that using experience and data will allow our algorithms to be more intelligent: capable of easily adapting to new environments.

Our aim is to be the future of self-driving cars: the first to deploy in 100 cities across the world bringing autonomy to everyone, everywhere.

The impact you will have

  • Identify and evaluate opportunities for Wayve to advance our commercial strategic thinking, working cross-functionally to understand the needs and capabilities of multiple departments to understand gaps and opportunities
  • Support in development of internal tools and financial models to evaluate strategies with a data-driven approach
  • Support future commercial strategy build out, accounting for market and partner realities + risks
  • Fact-based, in-depth research and analysis of AV/ADAS/AI ecosystem to support Wayve’s commercial strategy, to help Wayve consider impacts of this dynamic competitive landscape
  • Ability to think outside the box in evaluation of ambiguous, open-ended questions and quickly develop and iterate with various stakeholders to drive towards solutions
  • Develop internal tools to help the business make informed decisions about a variety of complex technical and commercial decisions

About you

  • Strong analytical capabilities: confident modelling in excel and distilling complex concepts into clear concise messages to support the organization’s decision making in both spreadsheet and slide formats
  • Problem solving: will look at solving undefined AV technology, product and business model needs in a structured approach with rigour and hypothesis
  • Communication: Can distill mountains of information and analyses into a clean, clear message that enables leadership to make informed decisions, faster
  • Humble & Resilient: views setbacks or incorrect hypothesis as learnings experiences vs failures
  • Big-picture minded: understands the (long-term) end goal, and keeps it in mind as a north star in the midst of (near-term) operational execution
  • Collaborative: Ability to work across various internal and external cross functional teams and knows when to bring in the right people to help “unstick” blockers

This is our ideal candidate, but by no means the only candidate; we all have different strengths. If you don’t match 100% but believe you could do the job well, we would love to hear from you.

Our offer:

  • Competitive compensation with salary and equity
  • Immersion in a team of world-class researchers, engineers and entrepreneurs
  • A position to shape the future of autonomous driving and to tackle the biggest challenges of our time
  • Benefits such as an onsite chef, workplace nursery scheme, private health insurance, therapy, daily yoga, onsite bar, large social budgets, unlimited L&D requests, enhanced parental leave, and more!
  • This is a full-time role based in our office in King’s Cross, but we support flexible working. We trust you to know what works best for your team and projects and ask that you have a healthy presence that enables the right meetings to happen in person and strong relationships to be built.

Wayve is built by people from all walks of life. We believe that it is our differences that make us stronger, and our unique perspectives and backgrounds that allow us to build something different. We are proud to be an equal opportunities workplace, where we don’t just embrace diversity but nurture it - so that we all thrive and grow.
