AI technology, Effective communication skills, Large Language Models - LLMs, Python Programming
We seek a Postdoctoral Research Assistant for a new project focused on building novel LLM-based agent systems.
The post-holder will be part of a small focused team, working closely with the PI, to build the software infrastructure necessary to support both novel technical developments and to deliver tools necessary for the applied (climate change mitigation) focus of the project. The position principally requires expertise in Python programming and strong experience in software development and deployment. Prior experience developing AI applications using large language models would be beneficial. A strong quantitative background (e.g., computer science, mathematics, physics, engineering) is a requirement.
The PDRA will also be expected to assist in the production of published material, and to make occasional contributions to grant-writing to support ongoing developments of the project. This project will provide the opportunity to experience first-hand how-to bring research into practical application, connect with top researchers, policy experts, practitioners and business leaders, and contribute to meaningful timely solutions to climate and environmental problems.
Applications are particularly welcome and encouraged from women candidates and black and minority ethnic candidates who are under-represented in academic posts in Oxford. SoGE is committed to equality and values diversity.
Applications for this vacancy are to be made online. You will be required to upload a CV and supporting statement as part of your online application.
