Job Description

We are looking for the right people to join our well-funded, growing open source startup and to help us to continue to build exciting technology that makes our users happy. KNIME provides software for fast and intuitive access to advanced data science via the open-source KNIME Analytics Platform, complemented by the commercial enterprise-grade KNIME Server. We are looking for a Data Engineer who takes care of our internal databases and systems from our Konstanz or Berlin offices*. Who are you?

You have a technical background and like dealing with all kinds of systems. You have some Linux administration skills and enjoy learning new technologies. Experience with administering PostgreSQL databases would be a big plus. As analyzing data is also part of the job, you are fluent in SQL and willing to learn how to put this in KNIME workflows. You should be self organized and able to overlook the full ecosystem of data, as there are multiple processes involved from bringing the data in the system to providing it to your colleagues.

What’s the job?

You will take care that our database is correct and that the data saved is up to date. Multiple scripts run on a daily basis which you will maintain. And care must be taken that all systems are updated regularly. You also have a good overview of what is happening in the database and on the server and are the go-to person for all related questions. Maintaining the related documentation is also part of the job. And of course you will build KNIME workflows to analyze the data
