As a Data Scientist intern you will work on a broad range of subjects actively contributing to the design and evolution of our suite of products focused on fraud detection, anti-money laundering, and claims automation. We are dedicated to providing innovative solutions, and you'll be part of a team with extensive technical and professional expertise in data science, data engineering, coding, business understanding, and client interactions. Additionally, we tackle a diverse array of data types, including structured data, unstructured text, documents, and images.

What you'll do

As a member of our data science team, you'll play a crucial role in deploying our solutions to clients while collaborating closely with our technical experts.

Here's what you can expect in your day-to-day:

• Deploying data processing pipelines for our clients, handling tasks such as batch and real-time data processing, data cleansing, and refining fraud detection models.
• Working closely with clients to understand their needs and feedback, ensuring our solutions meet their requirements effectively.
• Engaging in research and development activities to drive product innovation utilizing advanced technologies like machine learning, image analysis, natural language processing, trend analysis, and chatbots.
• Collaborating with our sales team to conduct product demonstrations for potential clients

What you bring

• You have or are completing a master’s degree in either Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Operations Research (knowledge in machine learning and/or Big Data is a big plus)
• You demonstrate proficiency in object-oriented programming
• You are adept at combining robust analytical skills with synthesis abilities, demonstrating a keen eye for detail.
• You can write high-quality production code
• You feel at ease engaging with clients and excel in clear communication, both in English and French.
