Job Description

As a Software Engineer on our Digital Biomarkers Software team, you'll use your architecture and programming skills to help us develop and integrate devices such as the Study Watch into our Research and Care products, improve data quality through analysis and engagement, and help derive insights from data. These efforts feed directly into Verily’s mission, providing accurate data to deliver precision health.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test cloud software for next-gen medical device systems.
• Work closely with data science, UX, hardware, mobile, and firmware engineers to create highly integrated, novel products.
• Collaborate with teammates across the Research org to advance our development practices.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 2+ years of industry experience.
• Strong programming skills, and knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
• Working knowledge of cloud architecture fundamentals and web security protocols.
• A growth mindset and willingness to pick up new programming languages, technologies, and domain knowledge to be productive in role.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with API design.
• Experience with Go and/or React.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (Spanner, KMS, etc.).
• Experience with micro-services, continuous integration, release management.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $125,000 - $178,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
