About Internship Program

This internship will run from from July 1, 2024, to August 30, 2024, for a consecutive 9 weeks on full time basis.

Yahoo will be prioritizing applicants who have a current right to work in Taiwan, and this internship position is not available for Yahoo's visa sponsorship. Participants must be located in Taiwan throughout the duration of the program.

A Lot About You

Business Analytic Interns are expected to work with the business analytics team to develop a hybrid product performance tracking framework and data analytic projects. Further develop the lite way reporting mechanism by leveraging internal and external data analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, BigQuery, Hive, MS Oracle, Looker Studio, and Looker. You will also have the opportunity to design and implement the POC of insights/reports summary by using Gen AI tools.

Your Day

• Conducted data analytics tasks to support a variety of analytic projects
• Design the proper analytic methodology and develop the models for selected projects
• Work with business analytic team, product management and engineer team to deliver the results

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an accredited higher education institution and actively pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field
• School project experience or in Data Analytics areas with hands-on experience in utilizing analytical tools (Big Query, Hive, Oracle SQL) or the ability to work with large datasets
• Fluency in Python, experience in statistical modeling, machine learning, computational linguistics, and data mining, ideally on a Web-scale, some experience in data mining or machine learning using tools such as Hadoop, Spark, Hive, and/or Tensorflow, etc
• Participating in and winning awards in school or external data analysis competitions would be a bonus
