Job Description

About the team

The mission of the Caching and Coordination Team is to improve the performance, correctness and reliability of HubSpot’s systems by providing a curated set of golden pathways for the use of technologies such as memcached, redis, Zookeeper, Hollow, and in-memory caches.

This team owns and operates nearly a thousand memcached and Zookeeper servers, serving millions of queries per second in aggregate. The team provides these data stores on AWS through a Kubernetes control plane across multiple data centers and regions. Through supporting tools and libraries, this team also acts as an enabler throughout the engineering organization, defining, developing and advocating for pathways that engineering teams can follow to use their data stores effectively, reliably and with the highest performance.

Typical projects for this team include a range of tool and client library development as well as implementation of fundamental orchestration and deployment functionality within our suite of Kubernetes operators.
