What you’ll be doing:

• In this role as Director of Data Science, you'll lead a team of Data Scientists to develop advanced data science solutions, leveraging econometric techniques, machine learning and artificial intelligence, to drive enterprise-wide innovation across various business lines and AP products. This critical role will continue to assist in advancing the organization’s capabilities by creating and deploying technology advancement to continually evolve the business!
• The Science Team is an integral part of AP Product team that builds science and technology applications that feed the analytical engines for AP! The team is comprised of motivated individuals that do exceptional work. They face challenges together and they win together. You’ll collaborate with a fun and agile team to architect, implement, test, and continuously deliver new features and products to our company and clients.
• Identify, design and drive implementation of innovative analytical solutions by utilizing advanced statistical and AI/ML techniques.
• Design and develop Generative AI solutions and collaborate with cross function teams to deploy Generative AI enabled applications.
• Participate in identifying and assessing long term opportunities and the value of new data sources and analytical techniques to ensure ongoing competitive advantage.
• Promote analytics opportunities of the company and collaborate with business stakeholders in a way that supports the vision and sustains a culture that treats analytics as a corporate asset.

What we look for in you:

• Advanced Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or other quantitative fields
• (8-10) years of industrial experience in data science or other related roles
• You are passionate about cutting-edge technology and keen on applying new AI/ML algorithms and approaches.
• Experienced with NLP, LLMs/Gen AI driven applications, LLM fine-tuning. Strong familiarity with higher level trends in LLMs and open-source platforms.
• You enjoy collaborating with other data scientists to crack hard to solve problems with AI/ML
• Have a deep understanding of technology and an abiding interest in technology trends, from the mainstream to the bleeding edge.
• Strong business mindset with the ability to condense complex analysis and technical concepts into clear and concise takeaways for business leaders.
• Deep understanding and intensive experiences in developing and deploying analytic solutions from initial concepts to final products.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work and collaborating cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and other disciplines at both the leadership and hands-on level.

$170,000 - $220,000 a year

The shared salary range is based on our good-faith belief at the time of posting. While the range is for the expectations as laid out in the job description, we are often open to a wide variety of candidates and recognize that the person we hire may be less experienced or more senior than this job description as posted. Total compensation may vary based on work experience, geographic location, market conditions, education/training, and skill level. Compensation Range: Base $170,000- $220,000/yearly + annual cash bonus + benefits such as paid holidays, open PTO, medical, dental, and vision.
