THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced lead to manage a highly talented team of software engineers. The mission of this team is to develop an innovative platform for creating AI-driven robotic solutions, and to apply this platform to build the end-to-end products in our rapidly growing product suite. This is a fast-paced, highly innovative mission, and we seek a strong leader to drive the architecture and guide the team.
YOU WILL
- Lead a team of passionate software engineers and roboticists.
- Architect mission-critical software, from robotic systems to cloud infrastructure, with attention to performance, reliability, security, and code quality.
- Collaborate with a highly talented team of AI researchers to bring state-of-the-art research to practice.
- Deliver previously impossible robotics capabilities that solve real needs for our partners and customers.
- Collaborate with, learn from, and support a diverse and cross-functional team, including mechanical, electrical, software engineers, AI/ML researchers, and business development.
- Assist Solutions, Business, Sales, and Product in deployment ramp-up and demos.
YOU HAVE
- An impact-driven mindset - willingness to work in a variety of technical areas as needed, to solve real problems, and deliver business impact.
- Experience leading a team and mentoring both junior and senior SWEs.
- A solid understanding of software design principles, API design, and platform architecture.
- A broad range of knowledge base and interests ranging from SWE / AI to HW.
- Proficient in both English and Chinese.
- Prior experiences in studying abroad or working at an overseas company.
- Occasional international travel to meet with colleagues and customers.
