WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The Software Engineer position is responsible for designing and implementing software solutions aimed at solving real-time, customer data delivery challenges. As a member of the Server Side team, you'll collaborate closely with talented colleagues specializing in Java, Frontend, QA, DevOps, and Architecture. You'll play a vital role in exciting projects like Platform Rate Limiter, Data Cloud Profile Manager, and Tealium Functions. Be prepared to contribute to the development of the new core components.

YOUR DAY TO DAY

  • Collaborate with other software engineers, architects, DevOps, and Product Managers
  • Work with modern Java frameworks to design, develop, test, and own scalable applications
  • Participate in Agile/SCRUM process
  • Contribute to architectural design decisions, test plans and operational related discussions
  • Conduct and participate in group code reviews to ensure high-quality code standards across the team
  • Evaluate and investigate alternatives to existing solutions, propose new designs and technologies

WHAT YOU BRING TO TEALIUM

  • BS, MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
  • 3+ years Java development experience using a modern Java framework. Spring, Quarkus
  • Experience with NoSQL, as well as relational data stores. DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, Mysql, RedshiftDB, Redis, Cassandra, Snowflake, etc
  • Understanding and experience to distributed messaging and streaming technologies, RabbitMQ, Kinesis, Kafka
  • Understanding of modern Devops concepts. Docker, Kubernetes, Serverless, Terraform
  • Experience deploying software to a cloud platform environment; AWS, GCP, Azure
  • Desire to learn new technologies
  • Strong knowledge of modern software engineering principles, patterns and best-practices
  • Understanding of micro-services architectures
  • Understand the design and supporting high traffic, highly available systems
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively explain technical concepts to team members, architects and team leads
