How you will make an impact:

• Develop an automated process for cleaning clinical trial data by utilizing Natural Language Processing (NLP).
• Learn about clinical trial protocols, clinical trial database development, data capture, and data cleaning.
• Apply knowledge gained to implement a tool that automatically identifies data cleaning requirements based on the clinical trial design.
• Work with knowledgeable data managers and clinical programmers to identify requirements for the tool and aid with design and testing.
• Involvement in user interface design and implementation.

What you'll need (Required):

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master's, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related technical field.
• Graduation date of December 2024 or later.
• Availability for an assignment for a minimum of 10 weeks over the course of the summer.
• Must be in good scholastic standing (3.0+ GPA or equivalent).
• Must not require company sponsorship for an employment-based visa now or in the future.
• Experience with programming skills.
• Hands-on and highly motivated as a self-starter.
• Ability to work cross functionally and on teams.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

What else we look for (Preferred):

• Experience with SAS and C# programming.
• Knowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP).
• Implementing machine learning models is a plus.

For California, the base pay range for this position is $54,000 - $72,000 (highly experienced).

The pay for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience).
