We are seeking a Data Science Intern to accelerate our adoption of Data Science techniques in our daily data operations. As an intern in the Applied Data Intelligence team you will work in a collaborative environment alongside data scientists responsible for operations automation and quality management. Working in close collaboration with the data science team the candidate will gain technical and theoretical understanding and contribute to the application of DS techniques in automation.

Scope of Responsibility

• Support existing local production and project teams with data science and statistical techniques
• Implement Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, statistical data modelling, outlier detection, and data analysis to improve the operational efficiency of our Data Operations
• Work directly with mentor data scientists in the continued extension of modeling to operational challenges.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, Data Analysts, and Data IT professionals on all stages of software development life cycle

Specific Knowledge/Skills

• Familiarity with Python and common Python data science packages (keras, pandas, scikit learn etc). Object-oriented programming preferred
• Statistical experience or coursework, foundation in basic probability and statistics, direct modeling experience is a plus
• Familiarity with database technologies
• Machine Learning modeling experience or coursework

Desired Experience

Currently engaged in a CS, Data Science, Mathematical or Engineering undergraduate or graduate degree program.

Desired Qualifications

Candidates holding an undergraduate degree in a CS or technical field will be looked on favorably
