Job Description

Leaf Group is looking for a Data Science Intern to help us celebrate all parts of the college experience from our Santa Monica, CA office.

Combine your GPT-3 and new prompt programming skills with your love of natural language generation (NLG). If you love words, books, all things university, even sports , then you will enjoy our education group -- where we celebrate all parts of the college experience.

Past interns have graduated to full-time positions on our team, and our alumni have gone on to work at Netflix, Stripe, Uber, Amazon, Rivian, Twilio and Google. We are really happy to see their success and we pride ourselves on supporting great careers. We will explicitly look for candidates who we can best serve.

• You'll Report To: VP Software Engineering and Innovation
• A typical day as a Data Science Intern might include:
• Generating 101 inspirational quotes.
• Finding the most assigned books for English literature classes.
• Predicting who will win each event at this Summer's Olympics.
• You'll be successful if you enjoy doing creative text generation.

What You Have:

• A link to your code repository
• A good understanding of natural language programming (NLP). We will show you how to apply your skillset at scale -- hint, automation is the key.
• You really want to build a career around NLG. We do too!
• You should enjoy doing creative text generation.
• A good Python language understanding.
• The ability to work with and query databases.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Not afraid to wear multiple hats - no job being too small or too large.
• We're casual and informal but we work hard and work responsibly. Personal accountability goes a long way. We believe we are the change.
