Job Description

  • Uses a consultative and collaborative approach when working with internal business partners to analyze and respond to business needs, concerns and questions.
  • Provides direction and alignment to overall business goals, growth strategies and objectives, and provides research, recommendations and insights to achieve these goals.
  • Combines analytical and consulting skills with knowledge of corporate strategies to lead and assist the team in analysis, reporting and projects.
  • Develops and communicates actionable insights that effectively influence business unit plans and operations and meets business reporting and analytical needs and manages the day-to-day operations of Data Analytics professionals.
  • Covers the use of data and visualization to effectively communicate increasingly complex technical, analytical and business concepts.
  • Develops relationships and fosters collaboration with key business partners across the organization and uses extensive knowledge and experience of appropriate tools, technologies and techniques to perform complex analyses, and to direct and train others in performing analyses. Improves awareness and knowledge of internal and external business activities, trends, best practices and tools.
  • Share knowledge and information with the team and other members. Assists managers in workforce planning and budgeting and identifies process improvement opportunities and supports process improvement efforts.
  • Creates and maintains accurate procedural documentation and reference materials and develops and maintains adequate knowledge and awareness of industry operations, trends and practices by attending seminars, reading trade journals and magazines, and maintaining personal contacts with other insurance companies, government agencies and professional stakeholders.
  • Owns accountability for talent management and navigation of employee related issues that impact morale and work environment to ensure a high performing team including hiring and selection, succession planning, performance and compensation management, and employee development and career coaching as required.
  • Manages priorities and workload distribution and removes barriers that impede progress.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7 - 10 years of experience in Data Analytics, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
