Does the opportunity to work with Cornell faculty, leaders in fields such as robotics, artificial intelligence, machine learning and computer vision, excite you? The department of Curriculum Development is searching for someone who wants to help shape the future of online education through technology, storytelling, and design to join their team as a STEM Instructional Design Associate.

  • Manage tasks and timelines across a wide variety of projects and topic areas by maintaining updated and timely data in the project management system.
  • Collaborate with programmers and instructional technologists to execute highly technical learning solutions, which might include editing, testing, and tweaking exercises in our integrated development environment (IDE) in Canvas.
  • Effectively represent eCornell in interactions with Cornell faculty and staff, leading faculty confidently, steadily, and transparently through an iterative design process.
  • Provide technical assistance by responding to inquiries regarding errors, problems, or questions with online learning products as needed.
  • The person in this role must be local to Ithaca or Rochester, NY.

What we need:

  • Excellent editorial skills, including the ability to author course content in a conversational tone and storytelling capabilities.
  • Excellent time and project management skills; proven ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines, ensuring timely delivery.
