Job Description

The Global Data & Analytics (GD&A) unit offers innovative solutions that provide actionable insights to internal and external business partners and customers that help reduce health costs, improve outcomes, provide financial security and measure/forecast business performance.

The National Affordability Initiatives Team within GD&A drives affordability strategies and measurement of our solutions. This role will work in a highly matrixed environment with, but not limited to, national/local contracting and local market leadership.

This person will monitor/analyze the competitive positions on various national affordability initiatives then identify/develop goals and related strategies to drive improved performance.

This position is with Evernorth, a new business within the Cigna Corporation.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex data analytics on various affordability initiatives to monitor performance and shifts in trend
• Identify insights and develop targets and related strategies to improve the competitive position
• Collaborate with Contracting and local market Leadership teams to ensure competitive positioning within the marketplace
• Execute key initiatives designed to deliver results in line with trend/cost expectations
• Produce, improve and advance key metric reporting utilizing SAS/HaDoop/Tableau/Excel and effectively communicate results/findings

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience working with health care data (claims, provider, eligibility, etc.) preferred
• Working knowledge of enterprise data structures built around Teradata, Hadoop, Oracle, and/or DB2, etc.
• Working knowledge of analytics and BI tools such as SAS, Tableau, Teradata Studio, Toad, SQL, etc.
• Self starter with demonstrated experience in producing Healthcare Analytics, Informatics, and reporting
• Independently perform data analysis while managing multiple projects and meeting strict deadlines
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex topics in a simple manner 

This position is not eligible to be performed in Colorado.
