Job Description

As an Intelligent Supply Chain Analyst, you will work alongside integrated production control, operations, supply management, and warehouse teams to drive and improve supply chain processes by leveraging advanced technologies and data analytics. Analysts must think critically, strategically, and with the technical acumen to improve and optimize business processes and technology. Analysts work closely with internal business partners and external resources to identify opportunities, map functional processes, and help design solutions to complex problems. Analysts are expected to provide direction to team members and coaching to junior level employees.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Percentages represent guidelines only; May vary by position and fluctuate due to changing business needs.

  • 45% Analysis and design work - Analyze business requirements, develop design, manage configuration and integration, and conduct robust testing to support new system implementations, current system upgrades and business process changes and CI initiatives. Work to be reviewed with Sr. Analyst or manager.
  • 20% Day to day support - Support current business systems including issue identification and resolution, functional performance monitoring and tuning and disaster recovery capability to meet business objectives leveraging both user feedback and internal metrics to drive improvement.
  • 10% Project management – Development and coordination of medium projects or complex components for larger projects
  • 10% Documentation and Training - Create and maintain documentation and conduct end user training. Educate users in workflow, business processes, and reporting metrics enabled by system.
  • 10% Reports and Metrics - Extract and format data to support reporting and metric needs.
  • 5% Advanced Support - Support other team members by providing industry expertise on difficult and complex issues.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities: None
  • Responsibilities outside of normal business hours: Shared support, scheduled maintenance and disaster recovery assignments.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities:

  • Key senior member of the Manufacturing IT team, responsible for coordination of complex and multi-disciplined projects from design to implementation; focusing on supply chain, from order promising through the entire supply chain.
  • Will use a combination of business analyst and technical skills to deliver products and projects effectively and timely.
  • Ability to understand order flow processes, from promising of orders through supply management, manufacturing, and the warehouse, and how to design IT systems to meet the needs of the business.
  • Works closely with managers, other IT implementation teams, agile teams, and business customers to fulfill project goals.
  • Responsible for creating an environment of cooperation and teamwork which supports the identification and timely completion of projects. This would include training support, monitoring progress, and communication among Pella and customer teams.
  • May be responsible for coordinating testing scenarios and tasked with managing customer relationships in assigned areas.
  • Assists internal customers with issue resolution and troubleshooting daily. Will be part of night on call rotation.
  • Collaborate and communicate with the team and across teams in an agile/scrum work environment.
  • Mentor less experienced team members.

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years related functional experience.

Technical / functional skills (includes computer skills):

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, or other relevant fields; and 5+ years of experience. Or some combination of equivalent experience and education.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing ERP system(s) and/or Manufacturing Execution System(s) (MES) and/or supply chain management systems.
  • Knowledge or experience with AI (Artificial Intelligence) and ML (Machine Learning) concepts and how they can be applied in operations, including predictive applications.
  • Experience with the Microsoft suite of products.
  • Able to understand and perform complex SQL query functions.
  • Proficient with use of business intelligence tools and best practices.
  • Strong leadership, organization and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, present findings and make recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Ability to map and analyze end to end process utilizing BPMN process models and suggest process improvements based on the analysis.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong business acumen in a configure to build environment.
  • Knowledge or experience with AI (Artificial Intelligence) and ML (Machine Learning) concepts and how they can be applied in operations, including predictive applications.
  • Experience in the selection of or implementation of business systems such as ERP, Supply Chain planning, or warehouse systems.
  • BI publisher reports.
  • APEX, React, Node.js, Git or similar technology experience.
  • PowerBI, or similar business intelligence tools.
  • JIRA or similar agile tools

Certifications or licenses: BPMN 2.0, Agile preferred

Work type: Hybrid preferred. Willing to consider remote.

Travel expected: If hybrid, 10%. Remote, 25%.
