Requisition Summary

This position is responsible for coordinating efforts that drive improvement of the overall quality and warranty of Peterbilt product. This individual is expected to lead a team that extracts, reports and analyzes data from multiple sources to develop meaningful and actionable reporting to drive product improvement, warranty cost reduction and customer uptime. This role will serve as a liaison for Aftersales in dealing with Production, Supplier Quality, Engineering, and Field Service to facilitate improvements.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of data analysts across the Aftersales organization.
  • Positively impact the customer experience by analyzing all available data sources to quickly identify emerging trends, top issues and cost impact summarizing complex data analysis and presenting findings in weekly warranty meetings with senior management.
  • Integrate Aftersales data from multiple sources to produce a single overarching view of the customer Aftersales experience.
  • Provide accurate, relevant and meaningful ad-hoc analysis to management to support strategic and tactical decision-making.
  • Work with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Aftersales teams to initiate programs and projects that improve the overall quality of Peterbilt’s products through data analytics.
  • Provide monthly updates to the executive staff to highlight current Aftersales performance and opportunities within the company.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of corrective actions.
  • Develop new process improvements to increase the speed, accuracy and efficiency of our work.

Skills / Competencies

  • Strong background with organizing data, analytics, and reporting.
  • Experience with, or understanding of statistical techniques, modelling, and machine learning.
  • Python, SQL and Tableau experience preferred.
  • Ability to present and communicate to all levels of management.
  • Must be a highly-motivated self-starter and self-directed learner with a creative mind, high attention to detail and a solution-oriented outlook.
  • Candidate must demonstrate strong analytical skills, excellent general business acumen, with the ability to concisely and clearly communicate complex topics.
  • Demonstrated experience with applied continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

Education

  • Technical or business degree required
  • MBA or progress towards an MBA strongly preferred
