Job Description

We are currently hiring a (Senior) Computational Scientist in our Science and Technology office. This key role will strengthen our Digital Chemistry team, driving digital innovation across our business sectors with data and digital technologies. The successful candidate is expected to independently deliver projects, developing simulation and AI-driven workflows in our pharma and life science pipelines, as well as in our chemical processes and material development sectors. You will ideate, contribute to, and develop new digital technologies grounded in computational chemistry and machine learning. Your efforts will play a significant role in raising the bar of our digital transformation journey. You will communicate with our internal stakeholders and partners, assisting them in understanding and implementing the most relevant technologies. In an environment that values open disagreement and decisive action, you will be part of an interdisciplinary, globally based team.

This role can be operated from either Shanghai or the Boston area.

Who you are:

• Degree in Computational Biology, Computational Chemistry, Bioinformatics, or data science in a related field, PhD is a plus
• Experienced in using scientific modeling, data analytical software and programming languages, e.g., python or other languages
• Strong publication record in computational chemistry/biology, scientific modeling, or a similar area
• Excellent at communicating and operating in an international environment
• Bonus: Industry experience or a track record of applying innovative solutions in pharma or life science project delivery
• Bonus: Hands-on knowledge in generative AI or physics-driven modelling for chemistry or biology
