Job Description

GenAI Media Editing is hiring an Engineering Manager who is passionate about incubating, developing and landing state-of-the-art ML models to power media editing experiences across the different surfaces of Meta's Family of Apps. Our team has shipped exciting features such as Backdrop in Instagram in a few months and we continue to build exciting and creative products. In this role, you will support a team of ML engineers and applied research scientists, lead machine learning efforts around media editing and work with the state-of-the-art of GenAI models in the media editing space and join a team that focuses on bringing that power to the users. You will also get to work with a fun and collaborative team that takes every opportunity to learn.

Software Engineering Manager - GenAI Media Editing Responsibilities

• Support a small team of ML engineers eager to fine-tune, train and ship models for product use cases
• Set the technical direction for projects centered around media editing using Generative AI
• Take responsibility of full ML pipeline including training, evaluation, optimization and deployment
• Collaborate with other ML and Research Teams to apply the state-of-the-art approaches and models to our products
• Contribute to a highly collaborative and fun work environment

Minimum Qualifications

• MSc in Computer Vision or Machine Learning or relevant field
• 10+ Years of experience building ML models
• Track record of shipping 0 to 1 projects
• 2+ Years of experience managing a team of software engineers / applied research scientists

Preferred Qualifications

• PhD in Computer Vision or Machine Learning or relevant field
• 3+ Years of experience in managing teams of applied research scientists

$177,000/year to $251,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
