Job Description

As our Senior Data Architect on the MMA National Data Engineering and Analytics team, you will play a critical role in implementing the data strategy for our organization. You will be interacting with cross functional teams strategizing the implementation our data framework, ensuring the highest quality, efficiency, reliability, security and availability of data while establishing consistent data standards, reference architectures, patterns, and practices across the organization for both OLTP and OLAP (Data warehouse, Data Lake house) and AI/ML technologies. You will be working on creating an end-to-end vision of how the data will flow through the successive stages of the complete data lifecycle and ensure the vision is translated into actions.

We’d love to meet you if your professional track record includes these skills:

  • Have deep expertise in Data engineering capabilities involving architecture, modeling (physical and logical), data governance, Data Quality and MDM
  • Possess a thorough understanding of data architecture principles, strong analytical skills and can effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Have experience designing modern data lakes using DataBricks, ADLS, Azure Synapse and Storage Accounts and Data warehousing tools such as Snowflake and experience in bigdata tools such as Hadoop and Spark
  • Expertise in creating ER (Entity Relationship), Logical, Physical, and Conceptual data models for enterprise and build Data Quality rules, Data Lineage and Data Catalogs
  • Experience with Azure data engineering tools such as Azure data Factory, Synapse, DataBricks and Understand code migration using Git and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Define security architecture for authentication, Network, data encryption and credential management for both data-at-rest and data-in-transit

These additional qualifications are a plus, but not required to apply:

  • Any certifications in Data modelling, AWS or Azure cloud are a plus
  • Experience with visualization tools such as Power BI or Qlik
  • Experience with Insurance data domain is desirable

The applicable base salary range for this role is $72,900.00-$127,575.00. The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
