Job Description

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a key role in shaping the future of disruptive digital innovation in BestBuy Platform Engineering.

The initiatives in this area will help transform and augment an engineer's toolbelt to help drive the next evolution of our developer productivity products. You will help define and communicate the mission to simplify and accelerate the software development experience at Best Buy. You will deeply understand and triangulate across technical engineer's needs, platform product analytics, and external industry innovation to offer best-in-class experiences to Best Buy engineers.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3 or more years of experience and a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field; OR equivalent relevant professional experience
• 1 or more years of experience mentoring others
• 2 or more years of experience deploying distributed web applications with cloud native tools

About the Technology & Preferred Skills:

• Java, ReactJS, Python, REST, JSON
• Postgres / CockroachDB
• Kubernetes based CD patterns & container platforms- Orchestration engines like Argo CD & Spinnaker.
• Experience working with Service Mesh technologies like Linkerd, Istio & AppMesh
• Gradle, Maven,
• React NodeJS
• Familiarity with Cloud Infrastructure like AWS / GCP / Azure
• Jenkins / ArgoCD / GitOps tooling
